They took our scattered ideas and turned them into a house that actually works for our family — kitchen we never want to leave, light everywhere, and a yard that connects naturally to the inside. We sold our 1940s bungalow after 27 years and built modern with JDB in Barton Hills. Were nervous about the change and they were patient with every question, even the ones we asked twice. I love this house. Joseph Design Build did a small-lot modern in Bouldin Creek for me and somehow fit a pool, a real primary suite, and a great kitchen into a footprint I was sure couldn't hold all three. They never made me feel dumb for asking a million questions. Three years in, zero regrets — would absolutely build with them again.
Have done two spec homes with JDB in East and South Austin. Both came in on schedule, both sold above ask, both built with finishes that hold up in a discerning Austin market. They don't cut corners, their subs respect them, and Thomas is straight with you about timing and cost. That's everything on this side of the business. Will be doing more with them.
Two builders told us a pool wouldn't work on our Travis Heights lot. Joseph Design Build came out, walked it, and figured it out — built us a house where the pool is part of the floor plan rather than tacked on. The way the living spaces open up to it is the best part of the home. Couldn't be happier with how it turned out.
Second build with JDB and that's the strongest thing I can say. They built us a beautiful modern home in Zilker years ago and we trusted them with the next one. They've only gotten better in the meantime. Both projects came in clean and the team treats clients like people, not transactions.

Built a custom in Clarksville with JDB. I had specific opinions about light, ceiling heights, and how the entry should feel — Gabe and Thomas listened, pushed back where it made sense, and built a home that's genuinely a pleasure to live in.
